Get Involved!

Three Part Harmony Farm’s 2-acre plot in Brookland is run by an incredible community! We are fun, loving, eccentric, and interesting conversationalists.

Get down and dirty with us- here’s how to get involved:

Subscribe to our volunteer list

VOLUNTEER
We take adult volunteers during the open hours anytime during the season. Please RSVP your first time so we know to expect you. There is a waiver you must sign, and a short orientation we like to do.

After reading this page if you are ready to sign up for your first volunteer day, send an email: gail at threepartharmonyfarm.com

Our schedule changes according to the season.

March – June: Fridays and Saturdays from 9am – 1pm

We harvest on Tuesday and Thursdays for our CSA

All volunteers must arrive within the first two hours of our start time and plan to work at least 2 hours at a time.

You must bring your own water bottle and snacks. Dress appropriately for the weather. Wear sturdy shoes that protect your feet, bring a hat, sunscreen, and we recommend light weight cotton clothing that protects you from the sun’s rays in the height of the summer. If rain is forecast, bring your own rain gear and boots.

Groups of 5 – 25? Please click here.

WORKSHARE
Exchange 3 hours of work for a share of vegetables. A workshare should commit to coming on a regular basis, i.e. once a week or at least a couple of times a month.

Spending more time with us allows you more opportunities to learn- we do different tasks throughout the season together and we have plenty of time for Q&A/ mini workshops in the field while weeding.

PART TIME CREW MEMBERS- thank you so much to everyone who applied to work with us this season. We are full. We are still taking work shares, which is a great way to learn about growing vegetables.

  1. Hello,
I teach gardening at Inspired Teaching Demonstration School. We are in Edgewood at 3rd and Douglas Street NE. This year (2015-2016) I am hoping to start a garden club. I’d love to have our gardeners volunteer throughout the school year in your garden. If you would respond to this message,we can talk about scheduling times that would work for us.
    Thanks so much!

  5. Hi Gail – I’d like to volunteer on every other Friday morning if there’s room. I can start as soon as this Friday, the 13th, followed by May 27th. I have signed up for the volunteer list.
    thanks! ronda

  6. I would like to buy a Tee shirt of window sticker/poster with your new logo. I’ll likely end up buying one of your current design but I’d be much happier with the flutterby design. Thanks for being there doing what you do.

    1. Sorry I forgot about this message while on vacation. Did you get a chance to buy the t shirt? Or do you have questions about it?

  7. Hello Gail!

I would like to sign up for your workshare this Summer if possible! Especially looking at either the month of June or July. How do I go about directly applying for that? I would love to learn about farming in exchange for fresh veggies for my family!

    Thank you
    Samille
